Summary of Session 1 – Vaishnavi Venkat
I’d like to share what I took away from the incredible ‘As I Evolve 24-24’ session.Â
We had the privilege of hearing from three amazing speakers, each leaving a profound impact. First up was Rtr. Maruti, who shared his life experiences and the contributions of Rotary to society. His words reminded us why leadership development is crucial—not just for personal growth, but for making positive contributions to society while staying true to our core values.
Next was Rtr. Balavenkat, whose speech was nothing short of spellbinding. He emphasized the importance of starting with the end in mind to succeed. One statement that really struck me was, ‘A leader is not someone who is proactive or reactive, but someone who leads himself and others when there is no master.’
Lastly, Rtr. Pradeep captivated us with his concept of SUCCESS. He broke it down as ‘Simple, Unexpected, Credible, Concrete, Emotional, and in Story form.’ Through the art of storytelling, he beautifully conveyed how a message can be both powerful and impactful.
As a whole, the session was a rich blend of inspiration, leadership, and the art of communication. Thank you.”
