Summary of Session 1 – Ashmitha Ragavendran

Inauguration speech was given by Rtn. MD RS Maruti, who mentioned about how the program has been instrumental in shaping young leaders.

The Story of As I evolve was explained to us by Dr. Bala Venkat. His words on what needs to be done differently if one wants to become a good leader and a successful person had a strong impact on all of us

THE ART OF STORYTELLING
One can learn how to keep the audience engaged,entertained and involved from Rtn. Mr Pradeep Yuvraj. Starting from his introduction, the speaker did everything in his own way. His body language screamt “ En vazhi thani vazhi”.

We learnt ‘SUCCESS’ is the key in storytelling. His speech made us realise storytelling is not only about delivering facts but about communicating in a way where people are able to relate to it, making the message more memorable.

Stories helps simplify and clarify ideas. It helps people remember and understand.
We also learnt how we OVERCOMPLICATE things by the simple shapes activity.

Overall it was an interesting experience and looking forward to more such enriching experiences.
